A single buckle elastic locking nut, often used as a secondary nut in double nut locking structures. Due to its weight being only about 5% of a regular nut, it is suitable for aerospace and related applications.
Application scenarios
Generally not used as the main load-bearing fastener, its function is to back tighten the nut to prevent it from loosening, that is, it is used as a locking nut. When using, first tighten the connected part with a regular nut, then screw on the locking nut and tighten it by hand to make contact with the regular nut, and then use a wrench to tighten the fastening nut by 60 ° to 90 °. When loosening, the hex nut must be tightened. If there is a gap between it and the fastening nut, the locking nut can be loosened.
