Slotted nuts mainly refer to hexagonal slotted nuts, which are machined with grooves above the hexagonal nuts. It is used in conjunction with threaded bolts with holes and split pins to prevent relative rotation between the bolt and nut. Its function is to be used in conjunction with bolts with holes on the rod, and to insert an open pin to prevent loosening.
Application scenarios
By tightening the screws that pass through the front and rear wheel axles to fix the vehicle's front and rear wheel axles, the frame and tires are fixed together. To prevent the nuts from loosening, an open pin must be used to fix the slotted nut through the groove of the slotted nut. To fix the slotted nut, the open pin must pass through the middle of the wheel axle screw. In practical applications, slotted nuts can be used to connect various mechanical parts such as bearings, gears, couplings, etc. in mechanical manufacturing.
